Park Hyatt Vienna

We are excited to be hosting the Forbes Women’s Summit for the first time and look forward to an exciting and eventful day.

The topics of Inclusion & Diversity and Female Empowerment have become more and more important to Hyatt in recent years. Since the beginning of the year, I have been chairing the "Women@Hyatt" initiative for Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Southwest Asia. Together with my team, I am creating a corporate culture that aims to improve women’s professional and individual opportunities for growth. We want to create a culture of inclusion that enables women to be their best self and to be fully integrated into the company.

The summit’s topic "Writing Future Codes" fits Hyatt, because we also write future codes. Hyatt has for some time had the Global Inclusion & Diversity Council (GIDC), whose mission is to positively influence Hyatt’s global reputation and performance by promoting cultural competence and an inclusive workplace, increasing customer diversity and promoting global and cultural awareness in all of Hyatt’s business areas across the globe. The Global Inclusion & Diversity Council is made up of 33 colleagues worldwide — and I am one of them, a fact of which I am very proud. Inclusion and Diversity has become increasingly important in recent years and is also very dear to my heart, because I believe that there should be no differences between men and women or between people of different religions, countries of origin, skin colours or sexual orientation.

Working with Forbes is a perfect fit, as the purpose and topic of the Women’s Summit are directly linked to the philosophy we live by here at Hyatt.
